Exercise Meets Mobility Assistance
The Batec Hybrid 2 is a unique hybrid handbike that combines the technology of manual pedalling with electric assistance — blending an active cycling experience with powered support. It attaches to your manual wheelchair to give you extra boost when you need it, without sacrificing the comfort or freedom of using your chair.
Whether you’re out for fitness, tackling longer distances, or simply want extra help on hills or against the wind, the Hybrid 2 delivers a versatile, engaging ride that keeps you moving with confidence.
Key Features & Benefits
Hybrid Power for Active Riding
The Batec Hybrid 2 brings together the best of manual and electric handbike technology, providing pedal-assist support just like an electrically assisted bicycle. This lets you exercise while receiving a boost from the motor when you need it most.
Electric Assist with E Mode
The integrated E mode lets you switch between manual pedalling and electric assistance without losing power to lights or the horn, and without switching the battery off.
Smooth, Adjustable Assistance
With up to nine speeds for paraplegic users and eight speeds for quadriplegic versions, the Hybrid 2’s new electronics and trigger throttle optimise motor performance and responsiveness, while innovative sensors deliver power efficiently based on your pedalling effort.
Active Versatility
Perfect for fitness rides, urban routes or light trails — the Hybrid 2 adapts to a variety of surfaces while you get the exercise you want with motor support when required.
Premium Components
The Hybrid 2 includes an all-in-one LCD screen with ride data and battery level, a 20″ ultra-grip tyre on a double-wall aluminium rim, reliable Avid BB7 mechanical brakes with 203 mm rotors and a brake cut-off sensor, plus practical extras such as front and rear lights, a USB port, a horn and a storage bag.
